By giving a gift to the Teton Regional Land Trust,
you are helping to conserve some of the significant landscapes of
the Upper Snake River Valley. These landscapes contribute to the
character and communities of the region with their vital agricultural
and natural resources. The Teton Regional Land Trust is a 501(c)3
charitable organization - contributions are tax-deductible.
Supporting the work of the Teton Regional Land Trust
can be accomplished through several avenues:
Cash Donations
A simple way to become a member and support the Land Trust's work
is through a donation of cash. Please refer to the Become
a Member page, or contact our Development Director, Christine Leusch.
Gifts of Securities
Donating stocks or mutual funds can be arranged to support the Land
Trust's efforts. Please talk with Christine
Leusch or Michael
Whitfield for more information.
Bequests
Including the Teton Regional Land Trust in your will is another
great way to make a lasting contribution to conservation of the
Upper Snake River Valley. Talk with our Development Director, Christine Leusch, for more information.
Donating Conservation Easements
Donating a conservation easement is not only a gift to the Land
Trust, but a lasting contribution to the community, future generations,
and to the health and welfare of the wildlife and habitat of the
region. In addition to the philanthropic motivations of donating
a conservation easement, income and estate tax incentives may apply.
For more information, read the Easement Info pages of this website,
or contact Babette Thorpe or Matt Lucia
Gifts of Land
In some cases, donating fee title to the Land Trust can meet your
conservation intent and serve you better financially. In the past
we have accepted gifts of land, sold it to a conservation buyer
who protected the property with a conservation easement, and used
the sale proceeds to support the Land Trust's work.
Contact Michael Whitfield
for more information.
Volunteering
The gift of time is essential to the success of our many events,
educational outreach, and inventory and restoration projects. Please
check out our Volunteer page for
more information.
In-Kind Gifts
The Land Trust often accepts in-kind gifts, whose value (determined
by you) is tax-deductible.
~ We are always looking for food, beverages,
flowers, and raffle items for our annual events like the Taste
of the Tetons and the Open Spaces Wine Tasting & Membership
Drive.
~ We can also use photographs for use in our
outreach materials and publications.
~ Office Equipment: Currently we are looking
for a GPS unit, file cabinets, a flat map file, and a vacuum.
For more information on in-kind gifts, please
contact our Development Director, Christine Leusch.
