Your general support of TRLT, which allows us to keep the lights on, the computers running, and most importantly, the staff working to leverage your dollars, adds up to acres protected. In fact, our outstanding staff can turn every $250 we receive in general support into an acre of protected land!
It all starts with your support of our staff time; time to write for the big federal and private foundation grants that we use to buy conservation easements, time to encourage other land owners to donate conservation easements on their land and time to negotiate and finalize all these complex contracts. All we need to do is add the strong level of federal and foundation support that is available for the protection of our spectacular landscapes and wildlife, and you’ve got a winning combination for land protection. But it all starts with you.
It added up to something very special, almost 30,000 acres of the most critical wildlife habitat, the best farm ground, and the most beautiful open space. It’s all because of you, your support combined with the support of over 600 others adds up to something tremendous. Working together we really do have the ability to protect our region's amazing wildlife, the agricultural and recreational basis of our local economies, the character of our communities, the serene beauty of our vistas, and the outstanding quality of our lives.
Please consider helping us this year by becoming a member. Our ability to devote staff time to these landscapes and projects comes at a critical time. The slowdown in the economy, especially in the housing sector, provides a window of opportunity for conservation throughout our region. Property owners, who a few years ago were poised to realize tremendous profits from development, now have a chance to reconsider what their land legacy could be.
Please consider becoming a member now. The Teton Regional Land Trust is a 501 (c) 3 charitable organization – contributions are tax-deductible.

Donating Conservation Easements
Donating a conservation easement is not only a gift to the Land Trust, but a lasting contribution to the community, future generations, and to the health and welfare of the wildlife and habitat of the region. In addition to the philanthropic motivations of donating a conservation easement, income and estate tax incentives may apply. Gifts of Land
In some cases, donating fee title to the Land Trust can meet your conservation intent and serve you better financially. In the past we have accepted gifts of land, sold it to a conservation buyer who protected the property with a conservation easement, and used the sale proceeds to support the Land Trust's work.
