Migratory birds carry no passports and know no boundaries, but they do travel extensively all across North America.
From south of the border in Mexico to the high latitudes of Canada, flocks migrate annually. Many species use Teton Valley for breeding and nesting and as an important stopover during migration, and a recent grant awarded to the Teton Regional Land Trust has put $1 million of federal money at work to secure additional habitat in Teton Basin for species that depend on wetlands for the surety of safe passage and security for nesting.
Oh yeah, and this grant will also protect some of the most important views in the stunningly picturesque north end of the valley from the scenic overlook on Highway 33.
