TRLT - News and Events
Many residents and visitors of Teton Valley may not realize that the outstanding recreation opportunities and scenic beauty they enjoy are in part due to local conservationists working with willing landowners to keep riverside properties undeveloped. Teton Regional Land Trust is strategically sharing the story of the Teton River resources and conservation successes through a newly created Teton River Guidebook. The guide will help promote protection of the last gaps of unprotected properties along the Teton River as well as the fish and wildlife resources that live there.
The Teton River Guidebook shares the conservation and restoration stories that Teton Regional Land Trust, the Teton Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited and Friends of the Teton River have worked to accomplish with local landowners along the Teton River.
This project was graciously funded by 1% for the Tetons, Idaho National Laboratory and Grand Targhee Resort’s Protect our Winters program. The waterproof guides will provide river information and recreational opportunities for river users throughout the floating season.
Teton River Guides are available at local Teton Valley guide shops and retailers as well as at the Teton regional Land Trust office.
